I am in a class at SNHU for non-profit management and I am learning a ton. I definitely can’t question God on His assist in the building of SAS. What was needed has always been in place, right as it was needed. Of course, like with almost every experience in life, there have been some missteps along the way. But God has continually seen me through it all. When I was depressed for two years straight, he was there. When I attempted suicide in ’19, he brought someone in who reminded me life was worth living. He brought me a new living environment when all I saw was dark. He gave me a purpose in the form of a Sherrif’s badge to fill the void. He provided cars when funds weren’t there. He gave me the motivation to get started on my dream of 15 years. He laid everything out like clockwork and gave me the strength to not lose my mind during the stressful times. He’s always been there…no matter what came my way.
One of my favorite songs is Zack Williams and Dolly Parton’s There was Jesus. Some of my favorite lines from that song is “when the life I had came crashing to the ground. When the friends I have are not where to be found. I couldn’t see it then but I can see it now, there was Jesus. In the waiting, and the searching, in the healing and the hurting like a blessing found within the broken pieces. Every minute, every moment, where I’ve been and and where I’m going, Even when I didn’t know our couldn’t see it…There was Jesus. I don’t think I’ve heard a more beautiful song.
So I ask you, where has God been in your life. Where has He covered you when the world only wanted to crush you. You have been blessed, it’s on you too see it, admonish it and use it to serve others. God bless.
