Violence on TV

Anyone who says that violence on TV does not provoke further violence is a Morone.

Natalie and I were totally intrigued by the commercials for a new show called the Accused on. The promoters did an incredible job of selling the pitch and depicting a multitude of characters which all seemed to be intertwined. We were stoked to see what a new Fox Series could bring. Disappointed doesn’t even start to describe our opinions on it.

In this episode they showed a school getting shot up by a kid who had shown signs of distress for years. To make long stories short, the end depicted a troubled dad, with the extra troubled son where, both seemed to want something, exclusive of the other. It ultimately culminated in the son pointing a semi-automatic rifle to his mouth, then pulling the trigger.

My question…at what point is too much violence? Why must we always depict hatred. Mom died by suicide, yet I had to watch a teen do the exact same thing through a TV screen. Preposterous at best!!!

ENOUGH!!! DAMN IT!!! ENOUGH!!!
